Shipping & Returns Policy

Overview

At Shine On Inclusivity, we take pride in providing high-quality, adaptive, and inclusive products to support individuals and families served through the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) and beyond.
We understand that every order is important to our clients’ safety, comfort, and daily routines.

This policy explains how we handle shipping, deliveries, returns, and replacements — including items purchased privately or through DDA funding.


Shipping Information

We currently ship to all counties in Washington State.
Orders are processed once funding approval or payment has been received.
In-stock items typically ship within 5–10 business days.
Specialty or custom items may take additional time.
Tracking numbers are provided whenever possible.
All items are shipped using reputable carriers to ensure reliable delivery.

If a product is temporarily out of stock, we will notify you and offer an estimated restock date, a suitable replacement, or a refund option.


Delivery and Inspection

When your order arrives, please inspect all items right away.
If any part of your shipment appears damaged, missing, or incorrect:

We’ll work quickly to arrange a replacement, repair, or refund depending on the situation.

For DDA-funded orders, we may also notify your case manager or fiscal intermediary if a replacement or adjustment is needed.


Returns and Replacements

Because many of our items are used for personal, sensory, or medical needs, returns are limited for health and safety reasons.

We will gladly replace or refund items that:

  • Arrived damaged or defective
  • Were shipped incorrectly
  • Were approved but discontinued before fulfillment

Please note:

  • Return requests must be made within 14 days of delivery.
  • Items must be unused and in their original packaging.
  • A return authorization is required before sending any item back.

We cover the cost of return shipping for defective or incorrect items.


Items Not Eligible for Return

For safety and hygiene, we cannot accept returns on:

  • Weighted, compression, or oral sensory products once opened
  • Personal care or hygiene items
  • Custom-built or special-order equipment
  • Clearance or final-sale items

If you are unsure whether a product is returnable, please reach out before placing your order — we’ll help clarify.


DDA-Funded Orders and Approvals

For DDA-funded purchases under Specialized Equipment & Supplies (SES):

  • Items must be approved by DDA before order fulfillment.
  • If DDA denies funding after approval or payment, Shine On Inclusivity will contact the family and case manager to discuss options.
  • We cannot ship items without confirmed authorization or payment.
  • If an item is denied after shipment due to case review, replacement or return arrangements will follow DDA guidance.

We are happy to assist with documentation or product substitutions to support funding approval.


Lost or Damaged Shipments

If your package is lost or arrives damaged:

  1. Notify us at info@shineoninclusivity.com within 14 days of expected delivery.
  2. We’ll file a claim with the carrier and send a replacement as soon as possible.
  3. You will not be responsible for any additional costs associated with carrier issues.

Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method or credited back to the funding source (DDA or fiscal intermediary).
Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days after returned items are received and inspected.


Order Cancellations

Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of placement as long as the order has not yet shipped or been billed to DDA.
After that period, cancellations may not be possible depending on vendor or supplier timelines.
